AGOO Festival is a vibrant showcase of global cultures, featuring captivating music, energetic dance, delicious street food, and engaging performances from around the world. Whether you're looking to discover new rhythms, taste exciting flavors, or simply enjoy a day out with loved ones, there’s something for every visitor. Our venue is accessible to all, and people of all ages, backgrounds, and languages are warmly welcomed.

Olemme innoissamme voidessamme ilmoittaa AGOO-festivaalin paluusta Vaasaan lauantaina 12. heinäkuuta 2025! Valmistaudu iloiseen, yhden päivän juhlaan, joka järjestetään aivan kaupungin sydämessä, Vaasan torilla. Mikä parasta, festivaali on täysin ilmainen ja avoin kaikille!

AGOO-festivaali on eloisa esittely maailman eri kulttuureista. Tarjolla on kiehtovaa musiikkia, energistä tanssia, herkullista katuruokaa sekä mukaansatempaavia esityksiä ympäri maailmaa. Halusitpa sitten löytää uusia rytmejä, maistella jännittäviä makuja tai vain nauttia päivästä rakkaiden kanssa, tarjolla on jotain jokaiselle kävijälle.Tapahtumapaikka on esteetön, ja kaiken ikäiset, taustaiset ja kieliset ovat lämpimästi tervetulleita.

Finding your way around AGOO Festival 2025 will be as easy as enjoying the music! Our entire festival takes place right in the heart of Vaasa’s Market Square, making it perfectly central and easy to explore on foot.

Imagine new flavors on your tongue, the sound of laughter filling the air, and stories shared across diverse communities. Our stages will come alive with exhilarating music and dance performances by both local heroes and international stars, each bringing their unique energy and expression. But the magic doesn't stop there! Dive into hands-on art and creative workshops where you can unleash your own imagination. The little ones will find endless delight in our lively Kids' Programme, while fashion enthusiasts can look forward to a spectacular fashion show celebrating global styles. ARTISTS


Prepare to be moved, inspired, and uplifted by the incredible tapestry of talent gracing the AGOO Festival 2025 stages! Our line-up is a vibrant testament to cultural richness, featuring diverse performers from both Finland and across the globe, each bringing their unique story and sound to Vaasa.

Experience the breathtaking artistry of Lawrence, a master of motion and rhythm who fuses danger, elegance, and playfulness in a spectacular display of fire and finesse. With high-energy acrobatics, mesmerizing fire spinning, daring limbo under blazing flames, and charismatic hat juggling, Lorence's storytelling through movement will leave spectators breathless.

Feel the powerful rhythms of Group Calabasse (Oulu), an afro-fusion band led by Senegalese traditional percussionist Paco Ndiaye. Their music expertly blends West African rhythms, the ethereal sounds of the 21-string kora harp, and Finnish folk melodies, creating a rich, percussive, and highly danceable experience that will not leave you cold.

Get ready to move with Matti & Sannu, professional dancers and teachers from Vaasa, who aim to spread the joy of competitive and ballroom dancing to all ages and levels. Prepare for an explosion of energy with Kangoo Jump, a dynamic, music-filled experience that's all about fun and happy feelings—come experience the euphoria of jumping!

Dive into captivating soundscapes with 65Hz, an electronic music collective hosting an Open Deck session – come with your own record disc and share your favorite songs with us! Feel the vibrant beats of Batucada Vaasa/Vasa, Vaasa’s own lively bateria (drumming) and samba dancers, bringing infectious carnival energy.

Don't miss the enchanting Pikku Aasi, presenting their delightful muppet theater performance, promising wonder for all ages. Plus, discover the beauty and grace of Sri Lankan tradition with Rhythm of Sri Lanka, whose dancers bring cultural storytelling to life through movement and color.

We are especially thrilled to feature Francis Oyeyiola, a Ghanaian dance expert, cultural practitioner, and co-founder of Kpanlogo Yédé ry. Based in Vaasa, Francis dedicates himself to sharing vibrant West African dance traditions and fostering multicultural understanding.

SaborLatino from Seinäjoki will be offering an interactive dance workshop filled with Salsa, Bachata and Reggaeton — no matter your level, you're welcome to join and feel the rhythm.

Rising talent Skelia will take the stage with powerful live performances representing the voices of a new generation. Don’t miss these local artist bringing fresh energy and bold presence.

Luis comes from Mexico and brings the warm, lively spirit of Mexican music to AGOO Festival. He started his musical journey as a street performer over 11 years ago, and today he continues to share the joy of traditional mariachi sounds and heartfelt ballads. His music reflects the soul of Mexico and the passion he carries for playing and connecting with people through song.
Highlife Jam is all about rhythm, groove, and connection. Represented by Eric Kwame, this act brings the uplifting energy of West African highlife music to the stage — full of melody, movement, and community vibes. Eric's performance promises an unforgettable blend of tradition and celebration.



Catch the opening notes of the day with Leena Nyqvist, setting the tone with heartfelt expression.

Join the Afro Dance Workshop, open to everyone ready to experience freedom of movement and African rhythm in action.

Imagine savoring the zesty delights from Sabor Latina, or being transported by the aromatic spices of Tom Yum Thai. Our international street food alley will be brimming with delicious global flavors, from savory snacks to irresistible sweet treats. As you stroll, you'll discover a vibrant Cultural Bazaar overflowing with unique, handmade goods, exquisite crafts, and treasures from talented local artisans and cultural entrepreneurs. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore new tastes, find one-of-a-kind items, and support small businesses that add so much richness to our community. Come hungry for adventure, leave with a full heart and happy belly!



WORKSHOPS


Ready to get hands-on and unleash your inner artist? The AGOO Festival 2025 workshops invite you to explore, create, and connect in exciting new ways! This is your chance to step outside your comfort zone, discover hidden talents, and share moments of pure joy with fellow festival-goers.

Dive into interactive activities like zine-making, where you can craft your own mini-magazines. Feel the rhythm and learn new steps in dynamic dance workshops by Matti & Sannu (competitive/ballroom dance).

Experience the joy of movement with an Afro dancing workshop led by the incredible Francis Oyeyiola, and immerse yourself in rhythm with an Afro drumming workshop. Get ready for an energetic Kangoo Jumps workshop, where you can try the unique bouncing shoes and feel the euphoria of stress-free movement! Explore dynamic moves in an acrobatic workshop with Lawrence, and learn the basics of Fusku / Swing dancing or Salsa dancing workshop with the Sabor Latina community.

The little ones can join the fun too, with a dancing workshop for kids (Finnish) and imaginative worlds at the Kids’ theatre and play sessions led by Pikku Aasi.

Many workshops are beginner-friendly and operate on a drop-in basis, so you can easily jump in and participate even if it’s your first time. Come curious, leave inspired!




KIDS’ PROGRAMME



Calling all little explorers and creative adventurers! The AGOO Festival 2025 Kids’ Programme is a joyful haven designed just for you and your family. Get ready for a day packed with laughter, imagination, and hands-on fun!

Step into the whimsical world of Pikku Aasi's puppet theatre, where enchanting stories come to life before your very eyes. Wiggle and groove in exciting music and dance playsessions, sparking your rhythm and creativity. Plus, there will be plenty of arts and crafts to spark your imagination! Our Kids' Corner is a warm, friendly, and safe environment where all children and parents can relax, play, and make wonderful memories together. It's the perfect spot for our youngest festival-goers to discover the magic of AGOO!
